For guests who choose to drive, there are three points of entry in the Tijuana area that can be used to cross into the United States.  These points of entry are the San Ysidro Border Crossing (most popular), Otay Mesa Border Crossing, and Tecate Border Crossing.  Border wait times can be monitored through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website which can be accessed through a mobile device or desktop at https://bwt.cbp.gov   

 

For expedited entry into the United States guests who are enrolled in one of the three Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) can use the SENTRI lane when crossing the border.  To use this lane all members in the vehicle must have one of the TTP memberships and the vehicle must be registered through the TTP account.

Guests without a TTP membership can save time when crossing the border if they have a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) document by using the Ready Lane.

For all other guests, we recommend entering the standard border crossing line by 6 am to minimize long wait times of 3 hours, or longer.
